June 13,14, & 15th was the 9th Dupont/NHRA/Goodguys
Hot Rod Nationals at the Indianapolis Raceway Park. We, here at Hot Rods
Online and the Old Farts Car Club, were there for all the action. Action
is just part of the scene at Indy. Evertwhere you looked was excellent,
top quality hot rods and customs. Row after row of beautiful cars and trucks
from all over the midwest. Old time drag racing action and row after row
of vendors add to the mix. Next to the track was the concours section featuring
cars vying for the top prizes and these were the cream of the crop and were
flawed only by the drool over an occasional fender.
Go through the links below for a pictorial view of the cars there. We will not have much commentary is this series because we don't have the time as we are going on the road again to the next Goodguys shows at Des Moines, Iowa and Medina, Ohio.
