My personal favorite of this meet is this 1940 Mercury. I have a Mercury, in pieces, that I went to high school in. It was owned by my friend Jack Roe in Michigan and I moved to Florida and did not return to Michigan for 17 years. I saw a Merc is a field, and when I went close I saw that it was my old friends car, and I bought it on the spot and brought it back to Florida. It, too, is chopped and I hope to some day have it in this condition.
The 1940 Mercury has the prettiest front of all the Forties cars in my opinion.
This has got to be cool and any kid in high school in the fifties would love this car.
I also had a Lincoln like this in the 1959 Detroit Autorama. Mine was prettier than this as I remember it.My Lincoln was dark blus and had whitewalls and skirts and really was nice.
