Dick Flint,'29 Ford roadster. The distinctive nose, pans, and extensive
bodywork on Flint's car were created by Valley Custom in '52, and it appeared
on one of Hot Rod's best covers in May of that year, with a Rex Burnett
cutaway inside. With Vic Edelbrock's flathead on board, it turned over 143mph
at the lakes, but it was primarily street-driven. Duane Kofoed acquired
the car around 1960, installed a Chevy V8, and drove it regularly on L.A.
Roadster runs for the next decade. Don Orosco of Fresno, California, was
the next owner.
